Crimson Desert

“The modern Skyrim: Crimson desert doesn't hold back when it comes to the amount of 'Stuff' you can do. Tutorials for new features show up consitently throughout the first 30-40 hours of the game. It feels truly expansive and a world I could get lost in. However the story really made no sense. There were hints of comraderie sprinkled throughout, but nothing to get stuck in to. That would drop the score a lot, but the absolute scale and beauty of this world is just amazing to explore. worth taking your time with this one. Go and explore”

“I’m a little over 100 hours into the game and still don’t know how I feel about it. The exploration, crafting, collecting, and fighting bosses keeps me interested and playing. But the puzzles are god awful. I usually end up looking the solution up on YouTube and then think to myself, “How were we supposed to know to do THAT???” It really takes you out of the immersion in the game. Pearl Abyss has done an amazing job fixing bugs and adding so many things to the game, like pets that you can name and pick up your loot automatically, special mounts, cool new things for your camp, and some QOL features, to name a few. It also has to be mentioned that the game is super boring for about the first 10 hours. I’m honestly surprised I kept playing. But now I am really glad I did. It’s just too long to get to the fun. Oh and man is the “story” confusing! Only by chapter 10 is the story making any sense. Also, searching/finding your missing crew is sooo repetitive and pointless. The camp upgrading is pretty fun though. The combat is hack and slash, as you upgrade your weapons with gears that create special abilities. You can also add them to your armor. The perk system is well done too. With so many systems in place in the game, you could literally play it forever. ”
