Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

“Wow! What a sleeper hit o****ame! Graphically, the game is beautiful. The musical orchestra is solid. The voice acting is well done. The story arch is also very, very well done. The game makes me genuinely care for the two main protagonists. This is not a short game by any means. This is an RPG with relatively simple leveling design, as well as, a simple equipment modification/leveling feature. This game, however, can be addicting. Once you see a question mark "?" on the map, you'll want to immediately see what it is. I have three minor complains about the game, however. Firstly, there's a LOT of crawling between walls, under walls, and climbing. It wouldn't be so bad, but this mechanic is represented in the game way too much. Secondly, the combat lock-on feature is frustratingly bad. Thirdly, there were a few times where I saw some subtle texture loading in the background. Overall, I highly recommend this game. If you're into a narrative heavy RPG that's not overly complicated but contains solid combat then I highly recommend this game.”
