“Silksong was easily my most anticipated game of 2025, if not of all time, and it totally lived up to my expectations. It was extremely challenging at times, often to the point of feeling impossible, but I found that every challenge could be overcome by paying attention to the game’s systems, by learning with each failed attempt, and by never giving up. Defeating the game’s bosses gave me a feeling of accomplishment that was unlike anything I have experienced before, and that feeling kept me going throughout the entire journey. Hornet was a joy to control, and I loved how fluid her movement was. The world was beautifully designed and full of secrets, which made traversal and exploration incredibly enjoyable. Combat was loads of fun too, and being able to combine the different crests, tools, and equipment kept things interesting and allowed for a highly personalized experience. The final boss was an immense challenge that I got severely hung up on for several hours, which dampened my overall enjoyment slightly, but I still consider this to be one of the greatest games I have ever played.”
