“As someone who has not played the Gears of War Series since Judgement back on the 360 and has only heard mixed comments about Gears 4 and 5 I was not expecting a lot when I jumped into this game. However I was pleasantly surprised by just how good this game feels to play. The weapons are meaty and feel incredible to shoot, The sound design is on a completely different level, I actually found the story to be extremely engaging thanks in no small part to some excellent character performances and the enemy design is possibly the most intelligent enemy design I have played against. The only things I can really knock for this game is that I think the open world sections could be further refined (or just not present at all) and the game could probably be 2-3 hours shorter as it does feel like it is dragging on for just a bit too long towards the end of the game. Huge recommendation though, go and play it!”
